Transformers 2

The annual Visual Effects Society awards took place on Monday night and Michael Bay was there (of course) along with the entire ILM visual effects team and various Transformers 2 cast members. (including smoking hot Megan Fox!) Michael Bay revealed that he has been working on the Transformers 2 script script himself during the writer’s strike. (which has recently ended) Bay has been working vigilantly in order to assure that the writer’s strike would not effect the projected Transformers 2 Release Date:

“I’ve been writing Transformers 2,” said Bay. “We’ve got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I’ve got something to give the writers. It’s like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that.”

So it looks like our Transformers sequel is moving right along! Shooting is expected to begin in early June of this year. The expected Transformers 2 release date is still June 24th, 2009. ILM Visual Effects guru Scott Ferrar also has some exciting TF2 info, dropping quotable gems for us die hard Transformers fans: “beginning animatics … they’re unbelievable.” … “Michael’s added a lot more robots” … “this one is going to have a huge production value.”

Well we are just pumped to see that the strike is over! It looks like the sequel machine is now in full effect, we will have more on this in the very near future.
